Methodology for Improved Forest Management: Conversion from Logged to Protected Forest, v1.2

This methodology quantifies the GHG removals generated from preventing logging of an unlogged tropical forest.  The baseline scenario the forest management regime includes selected timber harvest practices.  The quantification of GHG emission removals is determined based on a change in land use practice and an increase in carbon sequestration. 

This methodology is applicable to unlogged tropical forests. 

This methodology was open for public comment from 13 January 2010 until 11 February 2010. Public comments are closed.
