VCS Methodology Elements Under Development

The VCS Methodology Approval Process allows project or methodology developers to propose innovative new methodology elements for use under the VCS Program. All methodology elements currently under review are listed in the tables below.

New methodology elements are posted on the VCS website for a 30-day open public consultation and then independently assessed by two validation/verification bodies before they are reviewed by the VCSA for approval under the program.

New methodology elements are posted for comment on the first business day of the month after they are received. Those currently open for public comment are listed in the first table below.

The second table below lists methodology elements that have completed the public comment period and are currently being assessed under the Methodology Approval Process. Methodology elements that have been approved are available on the VCS methodology element double approval process history page.

To comment on a methodology in the consultation period, please email secretariat@v-c-s.org with your comment, name, organization and country of residence. Comments will be posted on the methodology element's page at the end of the 30-day consultation period.
