As a Program Officer, Amy provides operational and technical support for the VCS Program, the Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (CCB) Standards, and the VCS Offset Project Registry (OPR). In this capacity, Amy supports project developers, validation/verification bodies (VVBs) and other stakeholders in interpreting and understanding program requirements. In addition, Amy reviews projects documents to ensure compliance with program rules.
Prior to joining VCS, Amy conducted research at the University of Michigan Biological Station (UMBS) on the effect of forest disturbance on the drivers and rate of carbon exchange between the forest and atmosphere.
Amy holds a Master’s degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University where she focused on the ecology of the forest carbon cycle. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a specialization in Environmental and Biological Conservation from the University of Virginia.
